The pears from Korea are rich in vitamin C and essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc. The pears are good source of vitamins B, C, PP, and soluble fiber, which are beneficial for heart health, helping to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and preventing the risk of cancer.
Storage instructions:
To keep the freshness and ensure nutritional quality, Won Hwang pears should be stored in a sealed plastic container in the refrigerator at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 4°C.
If pears are stored at room temperature, they will ripen faster (after 1-3 days).
Furthermore, the thin skin of pears is prone to bruising, so it's advisable to store them in a foam box to prevent impact damage, which could lead to spoilage, bruising, and internal discoloration.
